Pure Bliss

“Pure Bliss” from Paul Bliss is the musty smell of leather and horsehide, steam rising from animal and man in the chill of an early Spring morning, and the sounds of an American lifestyle described from the inside by one who lives it every day.

Paul Bliss is a cattleman, horseman, family man, livestock driver, and a former champion rodeo rider from Salem, Utah, whose poetry is charged with authenticity, personality, and uncommon artistry.
And with the release of “Pure Bliss”, Paul’s second album of cowboy poetry, we see for the first time Paul Bliss the songwriter and singer, performing with the same authenticity that marks his poetry.
“Pure Bliss” is fifteen glimpses into the remarkable life and imagination of a sixth-generation American icon. The tracks include poems Cowboy Poetry in Motion, California Dreamin', Resting Springs, Salem On The Mountain, Dream Mine, There'll Never Be Another Ewe, Turtle Soup, Old Doug, Hagen, John Hard Hack, Appy Spots, and The Bust, and songs Bronc Ridin' Shuffle, Bull Boogie, and the traditional The Old Four Holer On The Hill.
You’ll wish for more.

  1. Paul,

Where can you get this CD? I'm doing some research for a Master's Degree right now, centering around music in the communities of Long Valley, in southern Utah (Orderville, Glendale, Alton, Mt. Carmel). I got a mention of this "Old Four Holer on the Hill" that's on your CD, but I've only found some words with no audio.

I also have a little old-time band, and I think it would be a fun tune to learn.

Can you help me out with some more info?

    Thanks,

    Robert Lacey
    Orderville, UT

  2. Hey there Paul. I teach high school English in Manila, Utah. A friend of yours, Brady Briggs (son of Vicki Briggs) suggested I ask you to help MC and host our upcoming cowboy poetry gathering of high school poets. Would you be interested? (There might be a little money in it.) The date is March 29. Drop me a line if it might work for you, or get back with the Briggs family. Thanks.
